Feet for Sport
As a sportsperson, your most valuable piece of equipment could be your feet. The forces going through them can sometimes be equivalent to seven times your body weight, so it’s no surprise that they can sometimes malfunction. If you have a pain in your feet, it will need treating as soon as possible. If it isn’t, it could stop you participating in your sport. Even if you aren’t getting any pain at the moment, the wear on the sole of your shoe could be an indicator of an underlying problem.
This leaflet outlines some of the most common injuries. If you identify with any of them you need to visit a Podiatrist who may supply Orthotics to reduce your pain and make your body more efficient.
